[LLM002] Annanan / Space Afrika – LL.M. 002

After their contributions to the LL.M. debut release on tape, Annanan and Space Afrika return to form the label’s first vinyl record.
The split EP comes on 180g vinyl in an edition of 300 copies with a handmade silk-screened sleeve designed by Alex Ketzer. Mastered by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin. Distributed by Noorden.

»Annanan and the Space Afrika duo team up for the hotly tipped LLM label, in what is proving to be one of the most interesting labels to appear from the underground this fall. […] Annanan comes through on the A side with the romping-stomping techno bullet that is ›Willis‹, and a slow-paced, ice cold dub techno jam named ›Anne‹. On the B side, Space Afrika are in a spacey deep house mood with ›Track 3‹, whereas ›Track 4‹ is a little more straight-laced, but nonetheless deep and chimerical. Strong!« Juno Records

Video for Annanan’s track »Willis« directed by Fabian Maahs.

»Framing Annanan’s ruffian techno-breaker ‘Willis‘ into an altered black-and-white scenario, Fabian Maahs’s video goes well past the basic illustration.« Inverted Audio

Video for Annanan’s track »Anne« directed by Fabian Maahs.

»Annanan gets the video treatment. Fabian Maahs weaves together some spectral visuals for ›Anne‹ forthcoming on a split 12″ release with Space Afrika.« Juno Plus

»As an appetizer to the coming feast, we’re glad to offer you an exclusive stream of the Mancunian’s pair second track Untitled (B2). A smooth and fast-moving techno delicacy boosted by shuffling hats and reverbed claps while echoed piano chords softly intersperse the rolling groove in all softness and elegance.« Inverted Audio (news feature)
